Star Battle Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Star Battle (the “App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”), provided by Arqcia LLC, handles information when you use the App. We built Star Battle to collect as little about you as possible, and this policy is meant to be read in plain language.

At a glance

  • Star Battle does not require an account, a login, or any sign-up.
  • Your game progress, statistics, and settings are stored locally on your device — we do not upload them.
  • The only information that leaves your device is de-identified crash, performance, and diagnostic data, used to fix bugs and keep the App stable and running well.
  • We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes, and we do not use it for advertising or tracking.
  • We do not knowingly collect information from children in a way that requires notice or consent.

This is a summary. The full detail is below.

1. Who we are and how to contact us

Star Battle is operated by Arqcia LLC, organized in Delaware, USA. If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your data is handled, contact us at [email protected].

This Privacy Policy applies to the Star Battle mobile app and does not cover any third-party websites or services that may be linked from within the App. See also our Terms of Use , which govern your use of the App.

2. Information we collect

Because Star Battle works without an account, we collect very little. Depending on how you use the App, the following may be involved:

Stored only on your device (we do not access or transmit this)

  • Game progress, saved puzzles, and completion state
  • Your statistics and streaks
  • App preferences and settings (such as theme and onboarding state)

Sent off your device

  • Crash and error data. If the App crashes or hits an error, we collect technical information to diagnose it — for example the type of error, your device model, operating system version, App version, and a randomly generated identifier. This may include a session replay (a reconstruction of the in-App screens leading up to the error) with on-screen content masked.
  • Performance and diagnostic data. During normal use, we also collect limited technical measurements — such as app-startup time, screen transitions, and other performance and stability metrics — to confirm the App is running well and to catch problems early.

All of this is processed by our error- and performance-monitoring provider, Sentry (see Section 4). It is used only for stability, debugging, and performance, is not linked to your identity, and is not used to track you or for advertising.

Only if you choose to provide it

  • Support correspondence. If you email us for help, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.

We do not collect your name, precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, or advertising identifiers.

3. How we use information

We use the limited information described above to:

  • Provide core gameplay and save your progress and preferences on your device
  • Diagnose crashes and errors, and improve the App's stability and performance
  • Respond to support requests you send us
  • Comply with applicable legal obligations

We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

4. Third-party services

We use a small number of service providers to operate the App. Each processes only the data described below, under its own privacy terms. As of the Effective Date above, this table lists the third-party services we use to operate the App; when we add a new service, we will update this table and the effective date before or as the change ships.

Service Provider What it processes Purpose Provider policy
Sentry Functional Software, Inc. (Sentry) Crash and error data; performance and navigation diagnostics; on-error session replay (content masked); device model, OS version, App version, random identifier Detect and fix crashes and errors; monitor performance and stability sentry.io/privacy

5. Local storage on your device

Most of what Star Battle “remembers” — your progress, statistics, and settings — is stored locally on your device using standard device storage. It stays on your device until you clear it, reset the App, or uninstall the App. We have no access to it.

6. Sharing of information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising. We share the limited information described above only:

  • with the service providers listed in Section 4, so they can perform their function;
  • to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request; and
  • to protect the rights, safety, or property of our users or us.

7. Data retention

Data stored on your device remains there until you remove it or uninstall the App. Crash and diagnostic data held by our error-reporting provider is retained only as long as needed to investigate and fix issues, in line with that provider's retention settings. If you email support, we keep your message as long as reasonably necessary to respond and maintain support records.

8. Children's privacy

Star Battle is a puzzle game intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in a way that would require verifiable parental consent under applicable law, such as the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) or the GDPR. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us at [email protected] and we will address it.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Delete your data. Uninstalling the App removes the data stored on your device.
  • Support and questions. Email us at [email protected] with any privacy request.

U.S. state privacy rights. Depending on your state of residence (for example, under the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have rights to know, access, correct, or delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, and the only personal data we process is the diagnostic data described above and any support correspondence you choose to send us. To exercise any right, contact [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for doing so.

EEA/UK users. Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, our legal basis for processing diagnostic data is our legitimate interest in keeping the App secure and functioning. You may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Contact [email protected] to exercise these rights.

10. International users

We operate the App from Delaware, USA. If you use the App from another country, the limited data described here may be processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the limited information we handle. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the App changes or as required by law. When we do, we will revise the Version and Effective date above and post the updated policy at arqcia.com/apps/star-battle/privacy-policy . Material changes will be reflected in the App's store listing privacy disclosures as well.
